Oxi-Tech Solutions Limited is a clean-tech company that’s developed Pulse Oxidation, a disinfectant technology that uses water and electricity instead of chemicals such as chlorine, eliminating the high recurring costs and safety risks of traditional chemical disinfectant processes.
Investment Overview
The British Business Bank, FSE Group and investors from Henley Business Angels (‘HBA’) participated in a £1m funding round in 2023. When the company wanted to raise a further tranche of capital to support its next phase of growth, SAIC member Damian Cavanagh, who is also a member of HBA, introduced Oxi-Tech to us. Oxi-Tech pitched their business at our meeting in December 2024, with 17 members investing a significant six-figure sum as part of an overall funding round of £1.5m.
Chris Hall, the lead investor for SAIC, noted; “It’s not unusual for one of our members to introduce prospective investees to the wider group; being part of the broader eco-system of funding for small businesses helps the club and its co-investors leverage their investment to good effect. On average, if SAIC members invest in a round, that business goes on to raise average aggregate investment of over £1m in that round”.
