I joined SAIC in 2021 and was keen to help early-stage businesses through my investment and experience in growing businesses. I have learnt a lot about enterprises across categories previously outside of my sphere. I find talking through investment opportunities with fellow members invaluable - as we come from different, complementary backgrounds.

I’ve been an active Business Angel since 2009 and was nominated for UKBAA Angel of the Year 2024.  I understand first-hand the realities of start-up and scale-up life and I’m passionate about supporting ambitious teams as they navigate growth, fundraising and the challenges of building high-value businesses.

I have operated at board level in both Executive & Non Executive positions.  I joined SAIC over 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie with the other members as well as benefiting from their business knowledge across many sectors.

Joining a syndicate like SAIC provides high-quality curated deal flow and access to a collaborative peer group with diverse backgrounds and deep expertise. I have high conviction that by asking the right questions and collecting 3rd-party testimony, there are excellent opportunities in early companies.

I am a member of a few syndicates - what I like about SAIC is the format (in person, 4 pitches, very well curated) and the members. Easy going and quite a wide range of expertise in areas that I know very little about (which is pretty much everything). We are also quite decisive which is helpful for founders - and collectively can make a meaningful investment.
